In response to a growing recognition of peer support as a valuable component of service delivery, a significant number of Early Psychosis Intervention (EPI) services now have peer support workers as members of their staff teams. However, the practice of peer support in the EPI context is new and developing. The Peer Support Community of Practice was created to increase the connections between Peer Support Workers (PSWs) across different EPI teams. The Community of Practice will allow PSWs to share valuable experience, address common challenges and common interests, and move toward standardization in the approach to EPI peer support.
